Sky Rocket

When I bought the Sky Rocket (8-6 months ago)it hooked at ton especially the backend.  Now it barely hooks and the backend is almost nonexistent.  I have put in a machine to take the oil out, resurfaced 500/1000 and polished but no luck.  Is anyone experiencing this problem?

500/1000 is a low grit underneath the polish that'll keep it a little smoother.

Storm's box finish on polished equipment is 4000 + their step 2 compound. I've gotten good results replicating it with 3000 or 4000 then using Ultimate Bowling Quik Kut polish, which I believe I've seen states it takes the surface to 1500 polished
