Anyone using the new Storm Reacta Scuff?
« on: March 28, 2012, 03:34:58 PM »
I've been using Reacta Clean for several years now and while it does the job from a cleaning standpoint it really does nothing for oil buildup in the cover.  Supposedly Reacta Scuff is designed to de-oil as well as clean.  Has anyone actually used this yet?  What has been your experience?

It surprises me that it has been available through the online stores for a while yet I see no mention of it on Storm's website.

OK, so with no responses (not surprised how little info there is about this stuff out there) I decided to buy some online and try it.  I bought an 8 oz. bottle for $15, a bit steep cost but not awful.  Anyway the bottle came in the mail the other day and I tried it on my old Dimension.  First thing that threw me was that Reacta Scuff comes as a gel not a liquid.  I used it on my Dimension on a ball spinner.  It looks like it cleaned about the same as Reacta Clean but it also took off the extra layer of oil sheen that has built up over time.

The cost is a bit more than Reacta Clean but it did help with the oil build up on the ball.  I'll probably keep both around (Reacta Clean and Reacta Scuff) and alternate for a while.

I have not used it, Reacta Skuff is a newly released product. Along with the oil removal it contains an abrasive so don't use it on a shiny ball unless you want to add some surface.
