Trouble with my Dimension...
« on: July 22, 2010, 03:26:56 PM »
I just got my Dimension out of the shop last night from a full plug job. Originally, the ball was drilled pin over bridge, with the CG under the ring finger and a high, small weight hole.(about a 5 1/4 pin to PAP.) With this drill, the ball revved nicely, but it didn't have the midlane read that I desired- it went a little too long before making its move. So I had it redrilled with the pin under my ring finger, CG swung about half an inch out, no hole. (roughly 4 3/4 pin to PAP.) I threw it tonight on Chameleon in my sport shot league, and the ball was a total dud. It was extremely touchy, giving me almost no area compared to my other equipment- and a very weak, mellow reaction. I felt as though it barely read the lane at all. I don't think the problem was lack of oil, as my pin-down, 2000 matte finished Blast Zone read with authority(in fact, it read much too early) whereas the Dimension appeared to make no read whatsoever, unless I played straight up the dry area with a soft hand. Any thoughts?
