What do i need.
« on: July 15, 2008, 09:29:36 AM »
I have a gravity shift and a rapid fire pearl right now. Looking to add a few more bowling balls to complete the arsenal. I can best be described as a tweener with 16-17 mph speed and roughly 300 revs, My axis point is 5 x 0 so im a fairly high tracker. I bowl on many surfaces and lane conditions, House shots, Pba shots, Tournament shots ect. My gravity shift is drilled 3.5 x 4.5 with a weight hole on my axis point at box condtion. My rapid fire pearl is drilled 4 x 5.5 no weight hole also at box surface.

I defently need a ball for oil, and something for lighter condtions. So that tells me a low rg solid maybe a demension and a higher rg pearl for ligher stuff, so perhaps a street rod pearl. Im looking for layout ideas also I lay out most of my stuff anyhow im just looking for input what every one else thinks.

Demension, Gravity, ? Rapid fire pearl, Street rod prl...

Look for different ball reactions, not specifically heavy, medium, and light oil.

Both balls you currently own are relatively angular, the primary difference is the Gravity will start it's turn earlier in the pattern than a Rapid Fire Pearl.  I'd look for some rollier balls - usually solids - like a Dimension and/or a Street Rod Solid.  A Street Rod Pearl would also be a nice addition as a longer pearl ball.

Personally I am a fan of laying out stronger cover balls weaker and vice-versa in order to make your solids (like a Dimension) smoother and to give your longer / more angular balls extra kick.
