RAPID FIRE PEARL review from Storm staffer Jeff Richgels

   RAPID FIRE PEARL review
RAPID FIRE PEARL 5 pin to PAP, 3 3-4 "MB" to PAP, 4 5-8 pin buffer (3 1-2 CG to PAP) (pin over bridge)
Finally drilled up a RAPID FIRE PEARL and now have used it on a couple of house conditions, a Shark pattern and a Scorpion pattern.
My plan was to keep it the shiny box finish with my favorite high pin strong drilling for use on lighter fresh patterns and broken down heavier patterns.
What really impresses me about the RF PEARL was how it handles oil. Other than the fresh shark and one very heavy volume house pattern, I never had problems with it skidding too much in the oil.  Even pearl and shiny, the R2S cover is so strong that oil rarely causes it problems.  However, I do believe it will be best on lighter oil and broken down house shots because it seems that my carry has been better with it when throwing harder with the lane providing more hook.
The shape of my RF PEARL was a hard rolling arc with a strong break point move. It is NOT a flip like, for example, the FIRED UP and it does not quit. It rolls to the break point and then makes a strong move that is continuous, and somewhat similar to the STREET ROD PEARL.
My carry has been very good with it so far thanks to the continuous, rolling move, which is the ball shape I prefer. I've probably left more ring 10s than soft 10s and very few solid 9s.

Great description Jeff. I have seen the exact same things as you out of the Rapid Fire Pearl! Its nice to get some positive reinforcement because I was expecting a Fire Up type reaction before I threw it!!
