Special Agent - First Impression
« on: December 28, 2006, 01:11:44 AM »
Just drilled my Special (See my review). Best word to describe it: Continuous.
Used it on Brunswick ProAnvils, one oiled 35 buff to 38, other 40 buff to 45.
Once it picks up in the mid-lane, it does not stop. But great thing is it isn't jerky or snappy at all. I'm sure on longer or heavier patterns it will store more energy and be a bit snappier, but I can't see it being real jumpy due to the core/cover combo. Real nice compliment to the Thunderstruck, for me at least. Will update after using on some different patterns and surfaces. Real winner for those looking for a real even, strong midlane reaction and a strong (real strong) continuous backend.

If you blame the lane conditions for your bad scores, then you had better thank them for your good ones!!

Amazing thing about my Special Agent....as strong as it is, I actually tried it in my Friday night handicap league where the lanes are very dry on the outsides, I had a ton of area with it.  Was in at the ball return and at 38 on the left lane, but if I kept it in the oil in the middle, it cut through the carrydown and carried when nothing else would, and if I got it out wider it rolled through the rack like a truck.  Left two 9 pins and had two other 9's kicked out by messengers, when my Radar was leaving 10's, 5's and almost an 8-10.  The Special Agent just laughed at the carrydown that was killing the weaker equipment.
