HOT ROD PRO PEARL vs THUNDER ROAD PEARL

I am considering buying one of these because of the thunder core that this ball has. I was hoping it would be similer to the old thunder road pearl. What I am looking to find out is the hook potential and break points on these balls. From my research they look close to the same. Are they the same?? What are your thoughts about this topic. Is the hot rod pearl a winner.

I own both balls and the hot rod pro pearl is not as strong on the back as the thunder road pearl. The hot rod pro pearl is a little longer than the thunder road pearl.
