~*The Sure Fire Video*~ from videoballreviews.com!
« on: November 26, 2007, 11:58:20 AM »
Hi All,

Im proud to present the Sure Fire video from Videoballreviews.com

http://www.videoballreviews.com/surefire.html

My Take:

This ball does NOT like to cover alot of boards...reminded me alot of the secret agent but a little longer (hence the comparison)...so the reaction on the shorter 38' Pattern was ok, it still hit very hard at the pins...the 41' pattern is where it shines tho, it let me play up the boards more than alot of the other balls i have tested and even gave me a little room at the breakpoint....

This ball seemed to carry everything for me...light hits, high flush....

Very Good ball, just dont try and force a shot with it that it doesnt want to play!

Enjoy!

This site is an amazing resource. I am helping my friend get a new ball (he left his last one in the car and it cracked right in half) with this site, and now my dad saw a few videos and he wants to check out what the market has to offer. I was just wondering if you guys could post a video of the Special Agent? I know it's a bit older, but I'd like to see one that's not made by Storm.

I think he means a video "not made by Storm".  Right?  If so, search You Tube.  There will be a couple, one by a righty & one by a lefty.
Here's a link to one I found for the Special Agent n00dles.

This is a much more "realistic" video for the Sure Fire, with the good comparision with the Secret Agent. I wish I saw this video instead of the Buddie's Pro Shop one. Then I might not have got the Sure Fire.

That guy( Chris Folly?) has such a good hand and form he can make any ball look great.

Thanks for the video find Monster! That's exactly what I was looking for. And yeah, I love the videos from Storm, but of course they're going to make their stuff seem infinitely better than it all (ie: Randy Peterson throwing a T-Road Pearl and a Black Widow Pearl). That to me seems like a crock of crap b/c my buddy who rolls with two hands has a BWP and he threw my TRP; the BWP came back easily an arrow or so more on the backend. Either way, that's for the find! The Special Agent sure did come back a lot for someone with less revs than me, which is hard to find lol. But that's perfect, thanks again guys!

Yes, I like this video also.  The guy plays similar lines as I do & probably "most" league bowlers, not "all".  Shows versatility of this ball.

I have one, It's a pro pin, but for some reason, I have to throw it w/the suitcase release otherwise it rolls out on me.  Anyone else ever had this problem w/a Special Agent or other ball for that matter?  If so what corrections were made, re-drill w/diff. layout?

Tried throwing some polish on it?  Strong covers sometimes need help getting down the lane to prevent rolling too early.

I have put it in the house ball machine for 3 minutes.  Should I have gone longer?  Or do it myself at home w/a polish?  On my Shift I used Storm Moonshine cleaner/polisher at home & it worked.  I have been throwing my Shift almost exclusively & picked up the Attitude to throw on the fresher nights, because I don't have the confidence in the Special.

Never put your balls in those machines. They contain wax and the fill the pores on your bowling balls. That's probably the reason it isn't moving for you. Try taking it down to a low grit and bringing it back up. (To get that wax out of the pores)

I love the videos. The only problem I have is that the camera is so low, I can't tell where the breakpoint is. To me, all the balls seem to have the same breakpoint because the camera angle is so low.
