New ball
« on: December 12, 2007, 04:42:37 PM »
Took a little time off lately and looking to drill somthing new. Looking for something between my Special Agent (drilled real smooth) and my Shift (drilled for max backend). Was thinking of Sure Fire, but don't know a lot about ball. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Not sure what would fit between them.  Attitude would be the closest thing depending on how all your drills are.  Or another Special drilled milder than your current one.  I would think the SureFire would be just underneath the Shift, though.  But like I said, it depends on how all of your balls are drilled & how you'd drill up the next one.

The Attitude Shift would most likely be stronger than the Special Agent. There isn't THAT much of a difference between the Special and Shift. Maybe a T-Road Solid with a light polish?

Well I'm still not really sure what would fit between a Special Agent & Shift but all ball layouts/surfaces being equal it definately wouldn't be a T-Road in my opinion.  I also don't really think you need something between them other than maybe a stronger drilled or duller Shift or a weaker drilled or polished Special Agent depending on what KR300 is trying to do.  Personally I haven't had luck polishing my Special Agent.  The reactions of these balls are very different.  If you go on Storm's website it'll show playing the Attitude on a line to the pocket between the Special Agent & Shift.  Same for the Domination.  I'm not saying that's how every body "HAs" to throw these balls, but it's just my opinion on what would be in between or not in between.

Those graphs on Storm's site aren't really all that accurate. It's just like their Match Maker. Put in your stats and you can change the amount of oil and it'll still suggest the same ball over and over. There's not much a gap between those two. The Sure Fire will most likely be weaker than the Shift.
