looking at storm again -- the "gravity shift" was highly recomended for me, low rg and great back end re-action, and dull the ball. but looking at the dimensions reviews, this also looks appealing? i need your input, i do throw hard 17-18 with med revs. so please keep that in mind. i will be bowling on "ths" and whatever tourneys i join.

well what type of lanes will you be bowling on? that will give us a better idea what might be best for you, but there is alot of variables to consider

I honestly cant think of any ball on the market that i like more than the gravity shift, but if someone is suggesting that u sand the polish off, i dont see why you wouldnt get a dimension, its a dull solid version of the same cover.

First off, a dull pearl and a dull solid do not react the same. Even dulled, a pearl is still going to give you more skid through oil and stronger response to friction for length and more entry angle. But also, the Gravity Shift and Dimension have different cores -- the Gravity will give you a different reaction shape because of the moderately strong PSA created by its asymmetric core.

But honestly, I agree actually that the Dimension may be a better fit for your needs. I see on your profile that you prefer to play straighter angles or a small swing, and you have plenty of ball speed. With a pin up drilling, the Dimension is a beast. It is more controllable and continuous than the pearl asymmetrical Gravity Shift, and gives you a little more miss room (it won't be as prone to overreaction off the dry). The Gravity Shift would probably work better for moving in and swinging it out into the dry, particularly when the track area starts to get burned in.

thanks for the responces --- im leaning twords the " dimension" due to the ball being a solid instead of a pearl. now on the drilling. should i look at a 4 1/2 X4 1/2 with pin OVER with weight hole --- or should i drill differently?
