Screamin Banshee VS. Xception
« on: April 29, 2005, 04:25:55 AM »
The Subject asks the question. What is the difference from these I have a Xception and I love it set up pin just under and a bit to the right of my ring and cg kicked out and mass bias right by my thumb. This ball gets down the lane really nicely and hits so hard. But with this screamin it like people say looks like the orig eraser and if it is any thing like it I will drill it because I loved the orig eraser one of my favorite they should of never gotten rid of it. Please let me know thanks

screamin banshee's way earlier than x factor or xception.

way earlier, way more arcy.

i'd try fired up.  that's a pearl (like x factor and xception) and it should get down the lane and make moves in backend.

btw, but if you already have xception, i think there will be a bit of overlapping?

I believe the Screamin is dull...as a rule of thumb, dull balls roll earlier than a pearl or polished ball. The dull ball will pick up a roll quicker to help when there is more oil. Take the oil away, and you need a ball that will push through the heads, like the X. Polished/pearls pick up a roll later due to it creating less friction on the lane. Since dull balls roll earlier, they will have less backend than a pearl/polished ball that is drilled similar, as a rule of thumb as well.

Thanks!

oh yea, screamin' banshee = 1500 grit polished.

btw...not sure if i'm gonna start something or not...but from MY experience...

xception hits harder.  (i'm sure it's condition dependent, but in light patterns, xception's hit is just tremendous, but banshee will cover more boards)

Thats cool, I thought I read where it was dull....my bad.

Still, a solid polished will pick up quicker and have less backend than a pearl. It is the underlying cover. I have a Rule and Xception drilled the same, polished the Rule and the X is out of box. The Rule is still about 2 boards sooner and the X still flips harder.

clint, exactly my point.

polished as it is, it's length is nowhere close to xception.
