Ball recommendations?
« on: November 25, 2015, 05:00:18 PM »
I currently have a RG haywire, a storm sky rocket, motiv forza  redline and a motiv graffiti tag. I'm looking to replace the forza redline with another storm or roto ball.  What would be a good choice?

I listed my arsenal from strongest to weakest. So I want something between the sky rocket and the tag. The tag is a great dry lane ball.

Why do you want to replace the Motiv Redline.  On October 17th you stated you could not be happier with the Redline.  Said you were glad you made the choice.
I'm asking because I just drilled up a Redline and I can't put it down.  It's a awesome ball.
Why was your love affair with the Redline so short?  What changed from your October post?

It started out good. Now the reaction died and it hits terrible. It's as if I'm throwing a spare ball.

That's the first I have heard that a Redline died, especially in one month of use.  Did you have your PSO check it for oil?  Perhaps a de-oil and a resurface will bring the ball back to life.  You may want to do this before investing in another new ball.
Hope everything works out for you.
I wish I could recommend a RG/Storm ball for you, but I'm not into RG/Storm equipment.  I'm sure there are many RG/Storm lovers who can help you out here.

Baked it and basically nothing came out. Not sure what's up with it.

Motiv's balls have a rep for not absorbing oil and lasting a long time with the stock reaction.
Could it be that your oil pattern has changed or the weather has changed the level of friction you are seeing?
(Cold or humid weather make the same amount of oil appear to have less friction, seem like they applied more oil.)
