Title: ball spec issues
Post by: stormdamage on October 25, 2012, 07:01:35 PM
Can someone tell me why storms website has the banshees Rg and differential list at one thing and the card in the box says different? Furthermore, which one is right?

I wouldn't worry about it... If you've drilled holes in the ball the specs have been changed anyhow...

Good point. Regardless, when you buy a ball because the Rg and diff are going to fill a gap in your bag and ten find out the specs are the same as a ball you already have its a bit frustrating.

The majority of info I've seen online points to 0.040 diff and a RG of 2.526.  I don't trust Storm's website anymore.  I noticed more than a handful of core image discrepancies after one of their most recent website overhauls.

FWIW - the above specs are the same for all of the Banshees and the core is modified slightly (0.045 diff) for the Flash Flood.

@ billdozer, gonna do that tomorrow. Called too late today.the banshee has the same Rg and diff as a tropical heat which is close to what the 2fast is which is why I didn't opt for a heat. @jmac, if they aren't going to provide accurspecs and info then they shouldn't provide any. I love the older balls b/c I still bowl in a house with toasted wood lanes and a medium ths on league night and all the new stuff is too strong. My anarchy looks like it came off Tommy Jones hand when it hits the 40 ft mark. The virtual energy and all my solids have been sold because the are too strong. The pearls work best. Especially the reactor covers. My domination is a good ball for this shot because of the cover. Oh well guess I can sell the ball or just label drill it so to take the lane conditions out of play.
