I just bought a lightly-used 14# Deuce (thanks, 1fife!
), so I checked the drilling sheets for the X-Factor line on Storm's site to see what they recommend.
According to fife, the ball is currently drilled 3.5 x 3.5", but with my unusual track (PAP = 5 over and 1 5/8 up), this would be about a 2 1/4 by 3 1/2" layout for me. The span is only 1/16" different from mine, so I'm going to try it the way it is to see how it works for me.
My question is this: I don't see any drillings on the Storm sheet where the pin is less than 3 3/8" from PAP. Most drill sheets I've seen include at least one where the pin is, say, 1-2" from PAP.
Does this have something to do with the RAD design? Is it not recommended to place the pin closer than 3 3/8" from the PAP on the balls in the X-Factor line?
With my low track, medium speed, medium-low revs, and stroker style, do you think the current layout of this ball could work for me on a fresh, medium-heavy oil shot?
TIA for any comments or recommendations.
Blueberry, yum yum!
