I've been looking for the Storm Paradigm ball for awhile now and can't find it anywhere. So I was wondering what other balls have the same backend reaction that the Paradigm has.
p.s. balls do not have to be Storm company.
-
Storm has a number of international balls that use the weight block (RAD+). None use the EOX cover. They all use a version of the reactor.
Check out this link http://stormbowling.com/products/balls/exclusive
pretty much all the balls with Domination in the name are pearls with the RAD+ core.
Don't if any will get you the reaction that you are looking for but they may be worth looking at.
-
Ive also been looking for one!!
-
ok...lets try this what ball/s out there has the best or a great backend reaction, that is easy to find lol...
-
If you are looking for backend, the Reign is the ball of choice, hands down.

I say Reignnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Although I had 2 Paradigms and both "died" after a short time I would buy me another one. It reminded me on my Storm X-Factor reloaded (awesome beast).
I would recommend you Motiv SR2 - not an asymmetric core but good length, snappy backend reaction and good pin carry.

if u want a paradigm why dont you buy a xtacy domination, same weight block with r2s pearl cover

The Paradigm is for a birthday present to my girl and I already tried the different ball but same reaction plea, but its the colors and smell of the Paradigm that she loves. So I'm trying, with the help of you all to find the Paradigm or the next best ball for her style of bowling. Which involves a great deal of back end movement the way she throws it.

Closest ball in the current Storm lineup to a Paradigm is a Virtual Energy - hands down. Ball roll will be similar but the VE will hook a few boards more than a Paradigm.
If you want to take this a bit further I'd suggest you follow pin-smasher's advice. Any of the overseas Domination balls has the same core as the Paradigm but with variations of R2X wrapped around it.

what weight does she use, there is one on ebay??
-
If she uses 13lbs, (which could seem likely), then you're in luck!

this would be a pretty close match to the original paradigm

I have an Xtacy (R2S pearl), Xtacy Tour (R2X pearl) and a Super Domination (R2X solid + EMT). All are stronger downlane than the domestic pieces with the same covers. The RAD+ is Storms strongest asymmetrical achieved by multiple density pucks.
I believe this causes the ball to be even stronger than the blocks that use shape to achieve asymmetry. Jmo though.
The Xtacy will give a very close motion to the original Paradigm. Domestically released Domination would be close too.

You sure it's not for you???? 15 Lbs for a woman is a big ball to be chucking.... I'm not saying, just sayin...

The future birthday girl talking here- 15lbs is very comfortable for me... lol even girls can throw the heavier balls! He let me in on the surprise to specifically ask me about the weight. I honestly don't see it being very long before I'll be in need of a 16 pounder, but this was my dream-ball so I can't ask any more of him
Thank you for your concern though.
-
Why are the men on here questioning if a woman can "chuck" a 15? A woman came in the shop and bought a 16 two weeks ago and she is like 5'10" and 150 pounds. She throws it a tad over 17mph too.
I am guessing the guys questioning the weight ask for a 14 or 15 when they buy a new piece.

Ha ha, happy birthday.
As you can see by the emoticons at the end of my reply, I was kidding around & suggesting your husband (Gecko) might be wanting to borrow your ball once in awhile. My Aunt bowls & she used to throw the heavier balls. She''''s in her 70''''s now, so when she bowls she throws lighter weight. Good luck w/the Paradigm. That''''s a great birthday gift!
Mr. Straightball, relax. My post was in jest. Thought that was obvious. I haven''''t gone down to 14Lbs yet. I have inquired about them to see if anyone has lost hitting power or carry. I have carpel tunnel in wrist & arthritis starting up in fingers that have been dislocated & jammed. I still throw a 16lb spareball & once in awhile bring out my 16lb Shift. So, please, don''''t make a bigger issue out of this & keep those panties "straight".
