After reading through all the threads on here and I am still not quite sure what to make of this ball.  I have been looking for another pearl particle ball to try because they seem to work for me.  

Does this type of coverstock on the 2D have the same type of characteristics as a regular pearl particle ball?  Is this like a new version?

I have both balls (Shift and 2nd).  The Shift is actually snappier off the dry than the 2nd.  The added mica seems to only slightly smooth out the pearl reaction.  More than anything it provides stability in carrydown.

I don't think Storm or Roto Grip are planning any more pearl particles, so while the 2nd isn't really a pearl particle it is probably the closest you will get from Utah in the near future.
