Best overall Ball? shock trauma, x factor or reloaded
« on: April 14, 2004, 11:55:37 AM »
Their are three nice used balls at my local pro shop. The shock trauma the x factor and the reloaded. They are $75 each. I play a wide variety of oil conditions but I can only afford one ball right now. What do you guys suggest? I am thinking the x factor is the most versatile and will not lose its reaction as fast as the particle balls.

Thanks guys appreciate it

Personally I would opt for the X-Factor as well too.  In order to allow you to use it on a wider range of conditions I would also suggest scuffing the polish off of the ball.  I did this to mine and find it a lot less sensative to oil / carrydown.

Jokers...I'm not saying to take the ball down to 320 or something, just a slight buff!  With all of the X-Factors I have drilled for various people, most seem to like them after they have used them for a while and the polish gets dulled out.  I myself never threw mine polished just for this reason, I had hit it with a scotchbrite pad before I even drilled it.  But it's up to the individual!

But I still say the X is the way to go...

I have all these three balls, Shock Trauma is my favorite,
so I would say get the Shock Trauma.
