Title: Best Skid/Flip Ball Out Right Now
Post by: bhman79 on February 26, 2012, 10:40:12 PM
Doing some tournaments here soon at a house where the ball just burns up in the front and has no energy left by the time it gets to the pocket.  My favorite skid/flip ball ever was the paradigm domination.  I'm thinking the Victory Road is probably the answer, but looking to get some opinions.

Thanks

Victory Road is best ball on the planet for getting through the fronts clean and making a strong move downlane.

You have to include the Columbia Encounter

Sorry Steve.  The Nuts is not a Storm ball and this is a Storm Forum.  Just get the Victory Road and be done with it!

Well

The Nuts Pearl is the most backends even in my hand.Left a 4,9,10 highflush with it =-)

Couldnt go wrong with a victory road pearl though

Frantic and 2Fast are both pretty skid/flippy as well.

Dont beat around the bush here.... You already know about the Victory Road. I personally have had 3-4 and it may just be the best ball I have ever owned!!! I have had em drilled strong, with surface, and shiny as piss........and they all roll amazing on everything. My work is done here lol!

You state that the ball will be used on a condition that the ball is bleeding off too much energy too early, so you may want to consider a ball with a weaker core/coverstock, like the Frantic, 2Fast or possibly even the Tropical Heat.  All can be very skid/flippy and even more so when matched up with the proper conditions.

If it is a more medium volume shot, I would say the Victory Road or Marvel Pearl.

I've been lucky long enough...now I'd like to get good.

To top on Stone8's comment, the NOS core is a little more rolly than the Inverted Fe³. The Frantic and 2Fast do serve well to clear the fronts and kick back off of the spot. The Victory Road is just a special piece and hard to beat when you are just in need to clear the fronts. Personally, I have a VR with the pin above the fingers and the cg in the center of my grip and then drilled one with the pin under the ring with the cg kicked 60° with a hole. It just depends on what angle I'm trying to play on which one fits the job.

Bakes...Before you throw my ball, know the holes aren't beveled!!!
