Best solid ball out as of today for a THS
« on: October 13, 2014, 12:17:29 PM »
Trying to get some opinions on what you bowlers think is the best solid ball out as of today for a THS on synthetic lanes. I have a Fusion and a Hyroad Pearl but would like to add a solid to my bag. Throw mostly Storm now but would consider a different brand depending on what I hear. Close to buying a Hy Road Solid but want to make sure it doesn't just sit in my bag. I am looking for a nice solid ball that I can use on my house shot to start the night. Would like to use for 3 games but tough to do on today's patterns. Can drop down to my Fusion or even further down to my Hy road pearl. I hate to buy a ball and then regret it later. Nobody can guarantee the ball will work for sure but I just want to get some more info before I decide.

Funny you guys say that. I actually just moved to an area that has much less oil than I am used to. Stuff like my Darkness and Network stay home, and my King Cobra and Hook Hybrid come with. Funny thing is, one of the great bowlers at that house is on Motiv staff, and in the vids can use everything (so far). I don't think I could get a Covert Revolt down the lane, but it would be a great solid ball.

Where are you bowling, Mardi-Gras bowl?

Tony Jordan?

Nope. You know Mardi Gras in DeKalb?

Yeah, I went to NIU and Mardi Gras was a graveyard, to me.

Mardi Gras was my daughter's home house for her high school team, so I got to spend a fair amount of practice time there with her. Even with fresh oil that place is dry, and every one I see there seems to use Motiv; that's why I thought that might be the place Doom was talking about in his post.
