I got a Big Hit Pearl for Christmas. Drilled it basically label. You of course need significant friction to use it, but on drier lanes it gets nice length with a very predictable ball path. Very controllable, even with dry heads and hooking backends. The carry is also excellent. Especially considering the low price point. I think there are better balls at this price point for beginners(Power Groove Reactive), but you've got to love the way that the Pro-Glide coverstock doesn't over react to dry. Great dry lane ball.
