Need some help. Customer gave me a Blue Thunder last night. Its perfect because it's currently drilled with pin 5" from my PAP.
I'm not sure which version it is. Has the old PBA logo on it. Is the the Blue Thunder or the Blue Thunder PRO?

It's the pro one. This ball is lower Rg and Diff than the original Blue Thunder. It seemed to roll earlier than the original, but had a nice hard controllable arc to it. The 5" pin to PAP is probably a good layout for this ball due to the lower RG than the original blue thunder. Great pickup, and good luck with that piece.

Not sure, but, storm used to put the word pro on their pro models, usually close to the cg area.
I have a regular blue thunder. If the one you have doesn't have the word pro on it somewhere, I would assume it was not the pro model.
From what I remember, the only difference was the density in the weightblock was set a tad lower in the regular model than the pro model, but the cover was the same.
( ON EDIT) MainePBA seems to know what he is talking about. Perhaps he knows the specific ball and has some insights to it.
Good luck. Mine is a great ball when I need it to be.

Juggernaut, the only reason I told him that it was the pro model was because of the PBA logo on it. I believe (and I may be wrong) that the only blue thunders with that logo on them were the pro ones, but like I said I could be wrong about that. Thanks for the props Juggernaut, but, whichever ball you have it will be a good addition to your arsenal.

Back then they all had the PBA logo on them. The Blue Thunder Pro had the word PRO right by the Cg marking. It was a low flare version of the regular Blue Thunder. Made a great 1-2 punch back intheir day. It was my FAVORITE ball. Later on sold it to a friend and he shot 830 out of the box with it.

The Blue Thunder Pro also had a yellow pin and the regular one had a red pin.
