Balls like Paradigm that arent Paradigm
« on: January 03, 2010, 08:19:43 AM »
I've been looking for the Storm Paradigm ball for awhile now and can't find it anywhere. So I was wondering what other balls have the same backend reaction that the Paradigm has.

p.s. balls do not have to be Storm company.

this would be a pretty close match to the original paradigm

I have an Xtacy (R2S pearl), Xtacy Tour (R2X pearl) and a Super Domination (R2X solid + EMT). All are stronger downlane than the domestic pieces with the same covers. The RAD+ is Storms strongest asymmetrical achieved by multiple density pucks.

I believe this causes the ball to be even stronger than the blocks that use shape to achieve asymmetry. Jmo though.

The Xtacy will give a very close motion to the original Paradigm. Domestically released Domination would be close too.

The future birthday girl talking here- 15lbs is very comfortable for me... lol even girls can throw the heavier balls! He let me in on the surprise to specifically ask me about the weight. I honestly don't see it being very long before I'll be in need of a 16 pounder, but this was my dream-ball so I can't ask any more of him Thank you for your concern though.

Why are the men on here questioning if a woman can "chuck" a 15? A woman came in the shop and bought a 16 two weeks ago and she is like 5'10" and 150 pounds. She throws it a tad over 17mph too.

I am guessing the guys questioning the weight ask for a 14 or 15 when they buy a new piece.

Ha ha, happy birthday.
As you can see by the emoticons at the end of my reply, I was kidding around &  suggesting your husband (Gecko) might be wanting to borrow your ball once in awhile.  My Aunt bowls & she used to throw the heavier balls.  She''''s in her 70''''s now, so when she bowls she throws lighter weight.  Good luck w/the Paradigm.  That''''s a great birthday gift!

Mr. Straightball, relax. My post was in jest.  Thought that was obvious. I haven''''t gone down to 14Lbs yet.  I have inquired about them to see if anyone has lost hitting power or carry. I have carpel tunnel in wrist & arthritis starting up in fingers that have been dislocated & jammed.  I still throw a 16lb spareball & once in awhile bring out my 16lb Shift.  So, please, don''''t make a bigger issue out of this & keep those panties "straight".
