Title: BTM Review of Victory Road Solid
Post by: AllAirForceTwice on December 02, 2011, 05:57:08 AM
It was "too strong" in box finish for the longer oil pattern, hence the lower rating? It's that much of a hook monster? I have a NIB to drill and want to be sure about it prior to punching it... Anyone have any input on if you were surprised in a bad way?

Thanks.

The feedback seems to be that the ball rolls up too early for someone with too much hand...

Ball may be fine in the box finish for someone with more speed...

You can always bring the box finish up to a 4000 pad and add polish...

Mine was early for me in box condition with a pin up layout, then when I separated my feet/target more it wouldn't make the corner. I shined it and got more of the same only with more closed down angles: too much ball to play straight with, too little ball to swing it.

I gave it to a fellow Storm lover with a super-mild layout (6" pin) and he won't put it down. And might drill another up with a stronger layout.

The impression I got was to try to super-shine it with a used 4000 abralon like I did a T-Road Solid a few years ago and throw it when the fronts were gone with a tame layout to keep it from getting into it's motion too quickly

So as I research my short list of drill patterns that match up to me... Am I understanding that I would want my VR Pearl for a long hockey stick reaction for deeper inside lines, the VR Solid for midlane/arc on heavier, and Bandit for an midlane/arc for medium?
