I just got one off of ebay and noticed that the scent wasn't very strong on the ball.  Does this mean it has soaked up to much oil?  Is there a way to get the scent back to full strenght?  I have resurfaced it and gave it a hot water bath but still doesn't smell all that much.

I don't think the scent has anything to do with oil in the ball.  I have an older storm with about 300 games and it is the strongest smelling storm I've smelled.  Also, I've smelled the same ball that someone else had and I couldn't smell anything.  I really think the stenghth of smell is different from ball to ball.

With my Storm balls i notice that if they are warmer in temp the scent is stronger and if they left in the bag for a while, when I open it there is a strong scent.

Some of the scents last and some go right away. I had an Eraser for about 3 years and the scent was gone with in the first month. I also had a Trauma ER and my car and office smelled like cherry kool-aid for as long as I owned the ball.

I catch heck for this since I love to throw Storn, but one of my friends does not hesitate to tell me that I have "smelly balls"...??

All of my Storm's still have their scents, except for my overseas X-Factor Perfecta which never had one.  They are strong as the day I got them.  My favorite is the Shift.  My least favorite of the scents I have is the Gravity's.  It's supposed to be chocolate, but in my mind only has a hint of chocolate & something I can't put my finger on, maybe black licorice?  I dunno.

Yeh, if the scent is gone the ball should be trashed, it won't hook anymore...
