So where is the Code Black fitting in your bag? What is it sitting between or replacing?

If I needed a Code Black it would probably fit under the snow tire at the top of the bag. And actually I don't even have that at the moment, my Jackal LE is sitting undrilled at home still. Just don't need anything that strong right now.

Anyways, from what I've seen and read the Code Black looks like a great ball if you want something that stores energy for the end of the pattern while being able to handle a good amount of volume. Right now my Mastermind Intellect is filling that role perfectly for me though.

The Code Black would sit above my medium oil benchmark(ish) piece which is the Arson Hybrid, possibly soon to be the Heat X-Treme or Rebel Solid.

I don't see it being any different than the balls before it, crux pearl, hyper cell skid, etc...just a diff core and cover combo
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]

Depending on surface, I see it being a first to second ball out of the bag. R2S is not too strong, but not too weak. Takes surface adjustments well, and is readable. It will help the guys with no hand get around the corner, but not hook too early for the heavier handed. I'd say this ball looks very close to the Black Ops.

To my eyes, it's very similar to my Covert Revolt, probably a few boards more hook.

Wow... Some of these answers are interesting...
I see the Code Black as a good house shot ball or a piece for the transition on many different sport patterns. When the oil starts to go, this ball is capable of getting to that spot and making a strong, predictable motion. Very similar to the X-Factor in my eyes. The Black Ops comparison is fair, but I think that ball can handle more oil than the Code Black especially if the surface is changed.

I haven't seen one in person yet but heard it compared to the Snap Lock.  I love my Snap Lock, so if this is the case. I'll be passing on the Code Black.

Past meets present...I feel like i got the length of an old polished pearl....but then the back end of today's technology.

That's what I'm seeing on the lanes from watching others that have it.

It's just nice getting what the manufacturers intent is.  The motion is definitely further down lane... shouldn't overlap AS MUCh with the likes of the other pearls in the line up
