which one is stronger? Code Red or Dare Devil Trick
« on: July 30, 2017, 10:21:06 AM »
I just pulled the trigger on a Code Red. Also have the No Rules and Dare Devil Trick. Obviously the No Rules will be my heavy oil ball. Having a hard time figuring out if the Trick or the Code Red will be next in line. Code Red hook #s are higher then the Trick even though it is a hybrid. My original thought was to go No Rules , Trick,Code Red and  IQ Tour. Was thinking about polishing the Trick and putting it below my Code Red but above the IQ.Looking for advice on anybody that has thrown these 2 balls side by side. Seen a few bowlers polish their Trick and it looked good. Thanks

your comparing apples to oranges and 2 completely different ball motions. Daredevil trick will handle more oil than the Code Red but the Code Red will cover more boards. The Code Red has a bigger block but a weaker shell. So if you are bowling on Medium length patterns and not a huge volume then Code Red but if you are bowling on longer heavier volumes then Daredevil Trick. The ball motions are 2 completely different animals.

No Problem, as stated, Im a huge fan of the Daredevil Trick. It needs oil or less surface to be usable. I prefer to let it sit for the right condition because it pairs well with my Rocket Ship and Track Heat as a medium heavy oil bigger shape trio.

I brought surface up to 4000.  Really hope it becomes more usable. Love the ball when the condition is right for it. Hopefully 4000 makes it more house shot friendly. I have the No Rules when I see the heavy, long patterns.

While changing surface does help, you also have to take into account the strength of the cover. The Trick's cover needs oil.

A strong ball does not become a weak ball just by changing the surface. Altering the surface changes where the phases of a ball's motion takes place.
