I would say so.  Match Pearl is pretty smooth for a pearl, Match Up Pearl looks to be several boards more aggressive and sharper on the backend.

Not Really, unless you don't like your Match Pearl. I found the Match Series to be more up front and Slower Response than the Newer Series but at the end of the day the covers are the same and the changes will be subtle. New core design in the Match Up series will get the balls to be quicker responsed and more overall shape down lane than the originals The Match Solid does work for me so I don't think the Match Up Solid will make it into the bag unless I have a niche layout I want to try and cant get another Solid.

I agree there's no reason to own both solids . . the pearls seem to be significantly different though . . but I didn't get the Match Up Pearl, so you may be right on that also.

Well just in watching both go down the lane I didn't see huge amounts of differences in both Match Ups like with the original series, Solid being a little smoother overall and not as much shape as the Pearl but they were at the same surface so maybe with bigger surface on the solid you'd see a bigger difference. I think out of the 4 The Match Solid and Match Up Pearl make the best combination and gives the opportunity for the best separation.

I can definitely see and agree with that.

Bowled with the Pearl yesterday it was aggressive played 20 to 12  it didn't over re-act and the carry was great.
