Let's Talk Frantic....Taming this beast
« on: March 13, 2012, 12:58:20 AM »
OK, so I got a Frantic and I have found it to be a bit of a beast for me at times.

It seems to be a bit jumpy on me at times. It's much to angular playing up the boards at times and doesn't seem to create much of a area on a basic 41" THS. Either it jumps on me when standing left or came up light if I moved slightly left

It does seem to play well from deeper in when I struggle with my normal line like today.

I have another one coming and I was thinking of taming it a touch to be less angular..what would you suggest to do to the surface ?

My new one has the pin barely above and right of my ring finger, CG kicked out slightly and a weight hole on my PAP

The other one coming has already been drilled and the pin will be below and in the middle of my fingers and again a slight kick out on the MB

Thanks

What I did with mine to make it usable was take the cover to 1000 abralon then add a coating of stage 2 polish, the one with some grit.  It made the ball smoother and not as jumpy.  It is still very strong.  After I did that I shot 2 300s with it in the same week and am averaging about 240 with it across 3 leagues.
