My Hy-Road Pearl Layout: 60 degrees x 4" x 3 3/8"

If you were a fan of the T-Road Pearl you're going to want to get your hands on the Hy-Road Pearl. Even if you missed out on the very popular T-Road Pearl, you won't want to miss out this time around. The Hy-Road pearl features the same weight block used in the T-Road Pearl (Fe2 Technology) and an amped up version of the R2S Pearl Reactive coverstock. Based on what I'm seeing the R2S Pearl Reactive coverstock has been updated to match today's slicker conditions since the T-Road Pearl was released back in 2006.

The Hy-Road Pearl is a better match to my game than the Hy-Road was. I know so many people who absolutely love the Hy-Road, it hasn't been a great match for me. I feel like I get caught in between with the Hy-Road more often than not but that's not the case with the Hy-Road Pearl. The Pearl gets through the spot where the Hy-Road would typically pick up a bit too soon without losing the great backend reaction we've seen from the Road series over the years. With that said, I don't want you to think the Hy-Road Pearl is all skid, it does a fair job in the midlane still, enough so that I have gone straight to the Hy-Road Pearl from the Marvel-S to bail out games when the Marvel-S starts to roll-out later in a block.

Like the Hy-Road, the Hy-Road Pearl features a thicker shell (no filler/core material between the weight block and cover) which enables more transfer of energy to the pins at impact. It's one feature that makes the Hy-Road one of the special balls in the history of bowling, currently in it's 5th year of production.

Conditions I have used the Hy-Road Pearl on: Turnpike (41'), Highway to Hell (40'), 42' challenge (5:1, no name)

Where the Hy-Road Pearl fits in my bag: The Hy-Road is just below my IQ Tour Pearl in my bag and the ball up from my Lights Out. When my IQ Tour Pearl gets revving a little too quickly and isn't getting down the lane as easily as necessary the Hy-Road Pearl is the next ball out of the bag.

When I use the Hy-Road Pearl: Medium to lighter patterns when I need the ball to clear the fronts cleanly. Later in a block when solids are quitting on me downlane.
