My girlfriend has a POW that's too strong at times.

Fever pitch will probably be a little bit weaker than the POW. Being urethane (even if pearlized) it will be significantly earlier but definitely tamer on the backend.

Maybe look at a Storm Tropical Breeze, the Black and Cherry colored hybrid cover ball.
It is weaker than a POW.

Fever is weaker than the POW, POW still isn't super strong, but because of the shape difference, you'll notice a lot more strength with the POW even though the Fever overall isn't TOO much weaker.
