Nomad Pearl not skid flip, or the Cell Pearl, or anything depending on how you drill it?

I would say false. They both cover the spectrum in equipment.

False.  Both companies have rolly equipment and skid/flip equipment.  The "Storm only makes skid/flip stuff" thing hasn't been true in many years.

I agree with Dan. Storm and Roto seem to compliment each other very well. I only throw both brands.

Neat question.

Personally, I say true to a degree.  All variables equal, Storm gear will go longer for me than Roto gear.

Roto doesn't match up too well with my game, whereas Storm is sick nasty for my game.  No idea why the discrepancy, but it's just how it is with me I guess.

I would also argue true to a degree.  I won't go into my experience (and I have experience with both), but look at it from a business point of view.  What does Storm have to gain by having it's 2 brands overlap substantially?  I know a brand can stand on it's own, but I don't think it's uncommon or ridiculous to expect a 'signature' from each company.  It's more a very high level generalization as there are many factors to get the ball to do what you need in your hand, on that lane, on that condition...
I think a 'signature' is a good thing for brand recognition.  Today, people, rightly or wrongly, want to see the skid and flip reaction.  Storm can do that.  But when you watch pros, using either Storm or Roto, they tend to go with more 'rolly' equipment because it is more consistent on the difficult shots.

I too have to kinda say, "True, to a degree".

They both cover the spectrum of hook shapes and all conditions.....but for the most part, I'd say Storm has a predominance of skid/flippish balls.

I like my Rotos because they are excellent strong arc pieces for the tougher conditions......whereas, with the Storm equipment (using the same drilling) I'd just throw it harder, and still score.

Interesting question.....good observation.
