Yes coverstock adjustments work well with that "monsoon coverstock". Might be necessary to go below 1000 grit. Abralon pads really work well, either the 1000 or for a lot of surface 500.
I have the pearl version of that ball, and finally had to go to 4000 grit abralon and no polish to tone it down a bit. I'm a mildly rev dominant with high track; with 15-17 mph speed.
A teammate has the "solid" version of the ball, and he went to 2000 grit because of his slow ball speed. Originally, he had it @ 500 and it really moved, and then tamed it down @ 1000. He throws it terrific with less surface @ 2000. But again, his ball speed is way low @ 11-13 mph.
Good Luck with the Pro Stock!
