Decision assistance
« on: November 26, 2018, 09:36:36 PM »
Working with a buddy of mine to find him a new ball. He keeps a small arsenal so usually a bit more thought out in his purchases and less “let’s just try this purchases” His current go to is a Code Black. On our house shots, the Code Black can get a bit too over/under a lot of the time. Trying to find something to read earlier in the puddle and still give some shape down lane, within the Storm/RG Family.

Currently thinking PhysiX or Code X. Any other thoughts or opinions?

His stats - 17mph, 315 rpm, 70° axis rotation, & 6° of tilt.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III

Does he want something that is similar strength? Definitely Code X if he wants similar

Stronger would definitely be the Physix or Idol

Weaker probably the Winner Solid

Similar to stronger, but not Halo or Sure Lock strong. With his axis rotation, he sees quite a bit of length out of his equipment. I figured the Idol to roll too smooth and Idol Pearl to be like his Code Black, but I could be wrong.

Why buy a new ball?  Hit the Code Black with some surface.

He’s looking to start doing more tournaments and was hoping to keep the Code Black as his more broken down lanes ball after this new ball is reading too soon. Essentially a 1-2 combo.

With that being the case, I'd say it's between the Physix and Idol. I think the Idol would still work for him since he has low tilt

Just got off the phone with our PSO and those are also the two he suggested. Must be the right call!

I just picked up the PhysiX and I love the roll I am getting.

Bowling on the pattern named for Carman Salvino, 44 feet and pretty heavy oil
