Medium Oil Ball
« on: September 22, 2005, 08:56:54 PM »
Hi

I bowl with an Xtreme, and I'm starting to find recently that it's a bit too strong for the lanes I bowl on. There is a medium amount of oil on the lanes and it's laid out in a christmas tree pattern. Basically I'm finding that the Xtreme is breaking too early and seems to be losing energy by the time it hits the pins. I'm a lower rev player with medium speed and a high track. I like to play down and in through 2nd arrow.

Can anyone suggest a ball that would be more suitable for the lanes I bowl on?

Thanks, Andrew

Columbia300 Flipside Wired (if you can find one). I love mine, and it is an excellent ball for this type of condition.

Several Storm balls are great in med oil:

Fired Up
Screamin Banshee
Hot Rod Hybrid
Ragin Banshee
Take a look at any of those and I'm sure you'll find one that jumps out and grabs you. Personally, I'd look at the Ragin Banshee.

STORM SCREAMIN' BANSHEE!!!!!!!!! Hands down the best medium oil ball on the market right now. (In my opinion, of course.) See my post in this forum on this ball. What a TANK! The most versatile ball I've ever thrown.

By the way, I also have the Triple Xtreme in my arsenal, but I use it strictly for heavy oil. All other patterns down to dry lanes are perfect for my Banshee right now.
