I haven't yet managed to get a good grip on the difference between the Accu-Tread (HotWire) and Monsoon coverstocks vs the new Reactor coverstock, but I think you'll find the Hot Rod Super Sport closer in overall reaction to the Hot Wire, with the Reactor cover (on both the Super Sport & the Diabolo) being a little bit stronger overall than the AccuTread cover on the HW. Remember that all three are solid resins and all 3 come about 800 grit dull/matte out of the box.
The Diabolo's core is stronger, allowing it to handle almost a full degree more oil than either of the other two.
Thankfully, Storm offers you yet a 3rd option. The Screaming Banshee uses the same solid resin coverstock, Reactor, but polished this time and in a core that's half way in strength between the Super Sport's and the Diabolo's. This may fit your needs perfectly. So the SB should give you a little more length, handle roughly the same amount of oil and give you a little bit more backend than the HW.
All 3 have covers that are easily modified; so in case, the one you choose is not exactly to your liking, the cover can change the reaction somewhat and you should be able to get what you want/need.
FYI I also have a Super Sport; just haven't had the chance to drill it yet. Love its potential.
