Man I had so many great responses when I first read the title. Then I reread it and saw the word staff in the middle.

I just know that Storm picks the best fruit at the market. As far as pro shop goes, they give the owner the choice of who, but it’s very limited; like say 1 out of 8 pro shops get the deal. I know one guy that is Storm Pro Shop and be has the baseline deal. 3 free balls and $80 a ball after that.

Regional, well you have to cash high and get noticed for true talent at regional events.

From what I know, Callahan runs the staffer program and makes sure that Storm wins every event and manages the staffers. I’ll see him tommorow night at the PWBA in Fountain Valley CA. But wait for Luke because well because he’s on staff and has more insight.

Callahan, he’s straight up, sort of cold because I don’t know him that well, but the best in the bowling business. You should see him operate during tournaments. He consistently puts 2 to 3 bowlers in the finals with his ball motion knowledge. Ive seen him manage 15 staff members and always get 2 to 3 to the finals for he’s that good.

He’s the man you want to meet.

Do you know anything about the advisory staff positions? Are they managed by the regional staff managers? I've never received any response from the current manager of my area. I was too late last year and missed the application deadline and of course during the following year, the person who was helpful and actually responded to my inquiry moved and was no longer in charge of my region. I bowl in multiple cities and never see one person representing Storm or any other brands aside from our one pro shop guy who is a regional pro on DV8's staff.

Advisory and amateur positions are run by the regional rep, the pro shop positions too I think.  Here's my recommendation though: Find a part time job for 10-15 hours a week, buy everything you want from a pro shop, get jerseys wherever.  You'll come out miles ahead.

I pushed for my spot for years. Could I have kept just buying the brand and supporting it? Sure, and I would have. But there's something special (for me at least) to be able to say I am on staff and have it not be fanboy staff. I am going to love representing and pushing 900 Global in an official capacity now.

It also allows me to justify buying my own pro shop equipment again lol

I’d venture a guess that that’s not true for the guys that are stealing reviews and not bothering to make videos (or uploading a couple shots from an iPhone).

Unfortunately, being a staffer is expensive for you because you’re a good staffer. It’s a shame it works that way.

What Luke does though, is good.  It won't be long before he gets noticed by the right people. Hopefully those people are Storm, as he is an asset at his level.  He is very comical yet he takes it very serious at his level, props bro.

Really appreciate all the kind words!!  Lol I kind of unintentionally ripped Tamer off on a lot of stuff.  Turns out most people want to see similar things and if you listen to those watching your videos, you end up doing things a certain way.  Also, there's really only a few ways to make a video anyway . . 

I guess that's really the deal is that if you're going to do something right, it just takes time and effort.  I'm not really sure about the getting noticed thing.  Yeah I think I do a lot for the company, but they're so big they likely wouldn't notice or really feel it if I quit or jumped ship.  Got a pretty good contract this year, but I had to do a lot of campaigning and bugging people to get anything done.  Not really my style.  Not in it for what I get out of it, but spending a bunch of time and money for some bowling balls here and there gets old.  As a staffer you're just another guy.  Lol damn I'm a whiny little b!+ch. 

I agree, Bill. If there was ever a staffer template to follow, I would have to believe it would be Luke. I've been taking tips on his videos and trying to make my own spin on his style, but change it enough to where I'm not ripping him off lol.

Eh, he just doesn't have the time, his day job is 60 hours a week.  I barely have time or feel like spending all my free time on videos now that I'm finally down to just a regular 40 lol.

U didn't rip off tamer lol, he reads from a script and gets tongue tied by his own words half the time. U have a lil bit more production value, IMO.  You have a different style as well.

Nothing wrong with either, but clearly your audience can tell you're putting more effort in. 

Either way good luck, and hopefully it eventually stops being a chore "sometimes." I think if you keep it up you'll have quite the cult following.
