wondering which to go with. i play down and in around 7-8 board. similar to walter ray but around 15-16 mph. worried that the virtual may be too much hook. currently using shift out there. play on typical house patterns, nothing fancy. is one more versatile than the other? tend to prefer lower rg equipment. i can only use the shift on drier conditions due to it being a particle ball. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Machuga used a Virtual playing down in. Your Shift is assym & so is Virtual. Dimension is sym. Coverstocks are very versatile & can be polished or abralon tweeked to a higher # if it's hooking too much. Tough decision, but I'd go Virtual.
On another note, I use my Shift on medium & light oil. It's my old standby.

I punched up a VG on Sunday and shot 757 out of box w/ it. 1st game was 279. The ball is incredible. Started out 12 to 7 for the first 2 games on a 5 man league.

The dimension in the box fnish may be a little stronger in oil. But from what I have seen of the Virtual, it is a monster, even in oil. The box finish is a 4000 pad. And it handles oil just fine.
Just a little more length then a Dimension. Maybe a little sharper on the backend.

why can you only use your Shift on drier conditions because of the particles?

my issue with the shift is the fact its a pearl. i tend to need more surface since i dont use much hand. its drilled aggressive but ive never gotten much hook out of it
