Men's competition
Morehead State - A was on its game all weekend long, steadily building its lead throughout the event to top second-place Lindenwood - Gold by 293 pins and finish atop the 28-team field.
The Eagles dominated Saturday's qualifying round, breaking 1,100 twice (1,117 and 1,113) over the course of five games to establish a 5,309-5,090 lead over second-place Lindenwood - Black. No other teams cracked the 1,100 mark even once.
With a comfortable lead in hand, Morehead cruised during Sunday's Baker competition, shooting four-game scores of 733, 835, 826 and 785 to solidify the victory.
Lindenwood - Gold and Lindenwood - Black finished in second and third places, respectively. Pikeville - Grizzly and Bellarmine - Burgundy rounded out the top five.
Morehead's Adam Voth finished atop the individual leader board, blistering the lanes to the tune of 1,166 over five games, good for an average of 233.20. Wisconsin - Whitewater's Jon Schalow was second with 1,116 (223.20). Morehead State's Steven Zimmer (1,106 - 221.20), Lindenwood - Black's Brett Cunningham (1,070 - 214.00) and Morehead's Mike Johnson (1,059 - 211.80) were also on the all-tournament team.
