Looking for a ball more aggressive then T road Perl
« on: May 22, 2010, 11:24:59 AM »
Like it says I am looking for a ball that is comparable to the T Road Perl.  My buddy has one(t road Perl) and it works real well with my no thumb style, I stand far left and push it out pretty far and it snaps back into the pocket, I throw 14.7-15.8 MPH with a high rev rate.  I was wondering which ball would do this for me that is out now?   I would LOVE LOVE LOVE any feed back!!!

Go with the Reign or fast.

the fast, reign, and t-road pearl all use the r2s pearl cover and that cover responds to friction somewhat quickly.

so I think any of them will work but if I was to choose one it would be the reign as it is the closest to reaction to the t-road pearl.

I don't think the Fast is stronger or more skid/flip than the T-Road Pearl, but the Reign is probably a better and slightly stronger version of a T-Road Pearl. A better option if you can get a hold of one for cheap since I think they might be discontinued is a Cell Pearl, but the Reign should be exactly what you are looking for.

I'd wonder by "more aggressive", do you mean to hook early or to have a stronger backend?????

This is solely constructive criticism, you need to work on raising your ball speed if you are going to continue to bowl thumb-less... even without seeing you bowl I can almost assure you that regardless of what you are going to throw you are going to get a very hook set reaction simply because of the high rev-rate you are going to often get because of being thumb-less... in other words your "snaps back" is probably just the ball basically rolling out (15mph ball speed + high rev rate = roll out unless on REALLY heavy).

Raise your ball speed and I almost guarantee that your ball reaction will be something different than just a stand left and throw right hook-set reaction... and then maybe you won't even want a ball similar to the t-road.

Something to think about...

should try to get that ball speed a tad bit higher....  but a fast or reign are great options..
