Ball Btween Cell and C-Vibe

I'm thinking about getting a Storm Sure fire, for particle hybrid and to be a ball in between my Cell 4x4 drilled and my Cherry Vibe (Drilling #2 - Length Layout
Ball Motion: Length with less total hook
Lane Condition: Light to Medium Oil
Flare Potential: Low
Pin Placement: Place pin at 5 - 5�?��� from the positive axis point (PAP)
Balance Hole: If needed, place balance hole at 4 - 5��� from the center of span on a line through the center of gravity.)

Would this be a good fit? I would drill it layout #3.3 3/8" from PAP

I have a Cell that I have not been able to throw much (not enough oil) I have never thrown a Cherry Vibe but do have a Sure Fire that is my benchmark ball, this ball is a very smooth ball that I have found to be very versatile.  Looking at how your current balls are drilled I would think that the Sure Fire would be a good fit for what your are lookng for.  You should be able to find one very reasonably priced on Ebay as they have discountinued this ball.  Good luck and good bowling!

The Sure Fire is not a particle. It is a hybrid solid/pearl with the R2S cover on it. It will not be as early as a solid ball, but not as skid/flip as typical Storm pearls can be.

With that being said, it does give you a particle type look and that is smooth and not over-reacting. I drilled a pair and use the newer one with the fresher cover as a benchmark ball and the one that is more oil soaked as a shorter pattern/higher friction ball.

I think you will be quite pleased as it should be a little earlier than your Vibe, but not as early and strong as your Cell.

Street Rod Solid would be a perfect fit. Weaker than the Cell but earlier than the Vibe. The SureFire is a great ball that can be played inside and out and could probably take both spots under the Cell. Poor Vibe!

ACtually, I think that both the above balls (Sure Fire and Street Rod Solid)would fit between the Cell and the Cherry Vibe. That's a space that you could drive a truck through. That is, that's not a "space" for just one ball, in general.

That should be a great 4 ball arsenal. Cherry Vibe to Sure Fire to SR solid to Cell, if kept at their stock surfaces with average drillings and if you're not far from being an average (ball speed and rev rate) bowler.
