Double Agent
« on: November 15, 2007, 12:31:51 PM »
I was given a Double Agent tonight and was wondering what the lane reaction would be on it. I know that it depends on drilling and surface adjustments, but what was it like OOB. And why is it no longer being made? Was it just a terrible ball or did another ball take its place in the Storm line?

Thanks in advance for all comments.

This is a pretty strong ball. It works well on medium to medium heavy oil. It gets down the lane pretty easily and recovers extremely well with great hitting power. This ball is not very popular due to the ugly brown color of the ball and not it's reaction. You'll be very impressed with this ball.

Ball hits as hard as anything else if you throw it on the right conditions.

OK lets start off by saying the only agent I matched up with was the original (sanded coverstocks dont do it for me) with my revs I the double agent would burn out on anythign and so I took it to 4000 with polish and it just was ehh for me not bad but had better things in my bag but for free id take another one

The Double Agent is an excellent heavy oil ball.  Expect a smooth arc with good pin carry.  The only negative I have ever seen with this ball is that it leaves more 8 pins than anything I've ever thrown.  On a house shot it is really only good for about a game or two and then you need to put it away as it will roll out early as the conditioner breaks down.

As far as why it was end of marketed so quickly I'd agree with the comment that it is ugly.

Yeah i had one but it didn't match up to my game. It hooked way to much in the midlane for me, I think the lanes just don't have enough oil for that ball in the midlane, but on a fresh shot this ball does great in my opinion and hits and carries very well. Never had a problem with leaving pins if I could keep it in the pocket.
