Cant make up my mind!! Trifecta or Fear Factor??
« on: August 02, 2006, 03:43:46 PM »
I keep thinking about the Fear Factor and I have talked to a few who have agreed the Fear Factor is the better ball. I have never rolled the Trifecta, but I here its suppose to roll like the Vertigo but be stronger. I throw the ball around 15.5-16.5 mph. I recently switched to 14's and I get a decent amount of hand in the ball. Right now I have a Pyro, Thunderstruck Solid, and a Hotrod Hybrid. Please help me here! What should I get?

Both the Fear Factor and the Trifecta play well in heavy oil, but neither will cross that many boards, they work best playing straighter angles to the pocket, if you have enough dry to the outside to play a 30 to 35 out to the 5 board you will probably do better with the Agent like ML_Bowler said (I think). On the same lane the FF or Trifecta would play better going straighter up the 10 board. A Passion might allow you to play farther inside and swing it wider than the FF or the Trifecta, if that is the line you are more comfortable with.

First of all OOB usually means Out of Box describing the finish of the bowling ball when its new. In my case I was saying OOB for Out of Bounds. As far as the Fear Factor being able to play 25-5 or 30-5 it is possible. I have thrown a friends, and we have identical specs, and on fresh shots I would be play 20-5, 25-8, or even 25-5. The ball is a freaking monster! As Jim was saying about straight up... Another reason I like this ball. You can play really tight off the ditch or from what Ive seen you can move in really deep.
