I don't know Riga personally and would never try to speak for him, but have seen him bowl a few times this past summer both with the Ebonite and Storm equipment. To my eyes, it seemed like the Ebonite equipment picked up the roll a little quicker for him and the Storm stuff was much later down the lane. Riga is really good at playing the correct angles vs. the guys who overpower it with their release. He is also real good at taking advantage of any area in the front of the lane vs. the backends. Again to my eyes, it looked like the Storm stuff was just too late off the point for him. Nothing wrong with Storm or Ebonite, probably just not a good match for the way he plays the game.
