Drilling a Tropical Storm??
« on: July 14, 2007, 02:11:32 AM »
After going to Nationals and State, (State being even drier) I am gonig to drill a Tropical Storm in hopes to battle the drier/short oil patterns.

This is a hole in my arsenal I haven't been able to fill and hole the Tropical Storm works.

Any drilling recommendations would be great.  I know information about my game would help.  I average about 214 which means nothing on a THS shot.  I have a low to medium tack, 4 7/8 and 5/8 up.  I can vary my sped but I'm usualy around 16 MPH and my rev rate is medium but not medium low.  I can follow an oil pattern as it transitions, but dry lanes or short oil is my enemy.  Pin on the axis does not work for me.

Thanks in advance.

I'm really that good at layouts, but whatever you do, make sure you drill it weak and keep polish on it because it has a strong cover.

Well a tropical storm for  dry lanes is a very smart move. I have a friend that is going to do the same thing. To give the ball a chance to work you might want to slow down on the ball speed. Angling ur feet towerd the pocket sometimes helps you don't need to do this but it gives u a better ngle at the pocket

If u drill it weak do not put a polish on it cuase u want to give it a chance to work. Sense you can speed up the ball there is no point for the polish

Since the ball already has polish on it, just make sure that you keep it pretty much OOB and the ball should work well for you.

I love my tropical storm it is a great dry lane ball and is much stronger than advertised so you wont have to angle your feet to the pocked or slow your speed down just move right and play as little or as much angle as you need

The  ONLY thing that actually destroys the pins is a STORM!!
