Drilling the RAD
« on: August 06, 2006, 02:33:27 AM »
Has anyone ever drilled into the RAD before? The Passion drill sheet says, "Drilling extra hole or thumb hole into the RAD only enhances the dynamics of the weight block." I wasn't daring enough to try this when I drilled my awesomely wonderful Passion, but I might consider it if I get a Triple Xtreme or another RAD ball down the road.

Drilling on the mass bias label (RAD) shouldn't be that big of a deal.  I like Storm balls but sometimes their marketing cracks me up.  'Drilling an extra hole or thumb hole into the RAD' shouldn't do anything special, it should just be part of the normal layout process.  I wouldn't go out of my way to put a weight hole on the RAD, but if it makes sense based on your layout go for it.

I have an Original X-Factor with the thumb hole drilled throught the RAD, the balls reaction is very smooth and stable.

Hope this helps............
