How do these balls compare: Length, backend, and mainly overall hook.
-
Close enough that I wouldn't have both in an arsenal.
-
i have both vibe (4x4 dilling) long, sharp backend.fast pin under cg kicked out smooth arch in the backend. i can play more straighter with the vibe(up the boards. the fast i can play inside and it always comes back. so to me the fast handles a little more oil than the vibe.

Well going into a little more depth to what sluggo said, it seems like the Fast will cover more boards, meaning mainly that you can open the lane up a bit more and almost loop the lanes as compared to the Emerald Vibe that seems to prefer straighter angles to the break point. The fast does seem to get more length but will also recover harder in the backend.

I've drilled several of the Fast for customer and they love the reaction! For one guy he wanted the pin closer to his pap so he can smooth out the reaction and it's a beast! I placed the pin 23/4" from his pap with a 11/2" pin buffer and the cg about 3/4" right of grip center, a modified label leverage. It hooked earlier, but more even than his Virtual Energy with a strong arc at the breakpoint! Plus how can you not like the "cherry" scent!

Length goes to the Vibe, backend goes to the Fast, overall hook goes to the Fast. The cover is stronger on the Fast and its more angular. The Vibe will labor a bit in oil.
