Crossroad question
« on: February 04, 2012, 10:32:31 AM »
Was thinking about giving it a try, loved the Hyroad. Does anyone happen to know if the R2S Hybrid on the crossroad is a 50% solid / 50% pearl mix like the Hyroad?

According to the Storm website the Orange portion is the Solid Part of ball and the Green portion is the Pearl portion, and since it is randomly poured I would assume the mixture changes from ball to ball, therefore you probably can't label it 45/55, 50/50 or 60/40 etc.........Other opinions?

I believe Pat is thinking of the Frenzy. The cover of the Crossroad is supposed to be the exact same as the Byroad, just with the Victory Road core.

Actually, Pat is thinking of the Frantic.

I don't have info about the Crossroad mixture, though.

I don't think that the description means the orange is solid and the green pearl color is the pearl. It would have to both be blended together to get the 50-50 mix. At least i would think. Maybe someone from storm could clarify things.

Thanks so far for the input. I know storm indicated the 50/50 ratio on the Hyroad, and the Crossroad says it has the R2S Hybrid as well, but doesn't indicate the ratio. The only reason that made me wonder is due to sometimes, when a slightly different core is used in a hybrid cover ball, companies tend to play around a bit with the solid / pearl ratio in order to "match up" with the core. Not some huge deal,  would just be some handy info if I decided on the Crossroad as a Hyroad replacement, the ball that did it all.
