Rumors Of Next Master Line Ball
« on: November 27, 2004, 10:29:21 PM »
Anyone hear of when the next STORM Master Line ball will be released or what it will be (i.e. coverstock, weight block, hook monster, etc...), or what it will be named?

On ABC's approved ball list it lists a X-Factor Friction for Dec '04 and the Hot Rod Hybrid for Dec '04. No mention of a Vertigo unless the name changed recently.

The X Factor Friction is an overseas ball; basically a remake of the ReLoaded...

Billy Ray,

My friend just had a Rolling Thunder drilled, sky blue-ish colour, for mid-dry condiction.

If I remember it right, it doesn't have any marking for the mb, so I guess it has a symmetrical core.

p.s. I live in London, United Kingdom, so Rolling Thunder may be an oversea ball.

Since the Fear Factor has been discontinued I am guessing the first ball is going to be a hooker. A solid particle would be my guess.

I did see a "Toxic Storm" on ebay. ANy idea what this one is?

Also I see their new "Pro Pin" series of balls whicb are supposed to be geared towards the high end bowler seeking a specific reaction withou an exotic drilling.

I dunno but it sounds plausible.

Thats just another name for a longer pin, in case you didn't know, meant to fool consumers into thinking they bought a superior ball.

I think the vertigo will be a solid particle becasue they dont have any in the line up, If not that it will be a big hooking solid reactive like the xtreme.

The hybird i think will have a prostock core with a particle peral or solid particle cover.

The orignal X,EPP,Charge,Fear Factor,Barbed wire are all being discontinued.
The new balls are going to be out sometime in Jan.

Maybe some of the exempt staff or fulltime Touring staff know what they are going to be besides the names but as usual the home office likes to keep that stuff close to the vest until the very last minute. Everything here is speculation based on a name alone.

Personally I hope the hot rod hybrid is more like the Teal Flame with a reactive/urethane blend mellow control type cover for really ugly conditions.
So guys with some hand can take better advantage of the drier boards without the overreaction.

Hopefully the vertigo is black! We need a regular plain Black reactive ball no more funky colors just for a change.

from what i have heard, the hybrid has a hot rod core. not sure if it is the thunder road core with no guts(hot rod), or if it is the fe2 thunder core(thunder, blue thunder)

Is it bad when you have to list the many bowling balls you've had on MULTIPLE sheets of paper? 148 and counting..............
