Razor Wire vs Flash Force
« on: April 10, 2004, 11:27:37 PM »
I would like to know which one of this balls would be better for med-light oil and good so I can set it up to be smooth. I throw about 15-18 mph, I have a good amount of hand not a lot but fair amount. Please let me know which one and why or if there are any other good storm balls out there.
This is what I have that I use
Core Power lrg
Deuce
X-factor
Trauma Er
Barbed wire
Too Hot
Spare

Ok so, I say the Flash Force because it is a stronger and more aggressive ball than the Razor Wire. THe Flash Force is newer, which is usually a good thing.

First off, the ball isnt any better because its newer.

Now to answer your question, the Razor Wire is a more backend version of your Barbed Wire.  So if you like your barbed wire for the light stuff, i would think the Razor wire would be a good fit for the medium light

I said usually, not always.

What does the Flash Force look like anyway?  Are the pics accurate?

They are not quite accurate, you cannot see the swirls well.
The razor is, strongeer than advertised.

I noticed that the pics on bowling.com seem to be different from everyone else's.  Are those accurate?

they look real but my shop has a an eraser particle pearl and it doesnt look anything like the ball on bowling.com.
Nor does the XXX factor, the few ive seen look close to the originals with some gold mixed in.

if i were u i would go with the razor wire. I just had one drilled 2 weeks ago and let me tell u this ball is programmed. all i need to do is lay it out on the 2nd arrow and it comes in with force. it is much much stronger than advertised and would be a great investment.

by the way i had my razor wire for 1 week and shot my first ever 300. take that into perspective.

Get an XXX factor they kick ass! Sorry, I just like mine.

The Flash Force? I have no idea, but Kirsten Penny likes it (saw her's at her dad's pro shop)

Really.  StormStriker whole heartedly recommended the Flash Force earlier, now says he has no idea about the ball.

Bowler0821 - if you already own the balls on your list, you should know how they react on the conditions you laid out.  Or are you just providing a list of things you might buy?  Too Hot drilled to arc, Barbed Wire drilled a little stronger, or even the LRG drilled weak could all work IMO.  After seeing a Flash Point in action, I would think the solid Flash Force would be too strong for med/light oil.

Thanks for the info everyone and Stider thoes are balls that I have that I said before but my too hot is a stacked drilling and my barbed wire is about 5 boards stronger. I just wanted a ball that would be sinimilar to my barbed wire but be smoother so maybe I can play in more I mean would a razor wire be the best then and drill it really tame and maybe polish it a little please give me some feed back. thanks
