Favorite Storm ball
« on: May 23, 2010, 11:26:02 AM »
I have used Storm/Roto Grip for over 10 years now and just wondering what others feel was their favorite ball from Storm.  Mine is the Hyroad.  I think this ball is so versitle because of the hybrid cover and core combo.  At one time after this ball came out, my six ball line-up included 4 hyroads with different drillings and surfaces.  I had one Strong ball above them and one weak ball below.  This line-up got me some very good scores and places in tournements.

The NATURAL is a two hander's best friend. Recently was forced to use this on a condition and am beginning to understand why this ball is so good.

From the past I would say it's a toss up between the Firepower, Eraser and X-Factor are the best from the past.

The current line? I'd opt for the Hyroad.

The Special Agent was probably my favorite Storm ball ever. That ball rolled so true and went through the pins so well for me and I could use it on anything. I also loved the T-Road Pearl. I have also drilled 2 Hyroads and I love them.

had a had a few year lay off from being able to throw storm and roto grip being on ebonite staff for three years. Missed some good pieces. But mine so far is the hy road. I have drilled up a virtual energy and dark star and love them both

Words of advise. Limiting your self to just one company is never smart. Get proven balls out on the market. Global, Storm inc, Ebonite international, er what ever it may be.

without a doubt the X-factor Vertigo. I got about 500 games on this ball its been resurfaced about 4 times. Only reason I stopped using it was because everybody used to make fun of me throwing a ball the said "rti" and "or" on the side because the label had been sanded off almost completely. I could throw this ball today and it would still demolish the pins lol

Shift & Attitude Shift.  I have a Reign & VG that I've been starting to use a little more lately, though, so I can see them easily becoming my favorites.
